being a disc jockey

I always thought that being a disc jockey was only to play music and play requests on the radio but when i started researching on them, i found out that there more to them that we thought they are. I found out that they can also be special guests at parties and can also be emcees at certain events. One time I went to the mall and got shocked when I heard the name of one of the DJ's on the radio and when I went to the center of the mall where I heard his name, I just smiled seeing the person who kept on playing some of my favorite songs.
